We left off with little Smidge's neuter surgery complete...

 

 
As a final step, the surgical area is cleaned-up with anti-bacterial cleaner...

 

 

... Smidge is now breathing on his own, and starting to show liveliness again... the breathing tube is removed...

 

 
Smidge is then observed alone, till he regains his conscience...

 

 

 

In the pen next to him are his siblings -- happy as clams, already altered.

Note Elmo, whose surgery finished 15 minutes prior Smidge's -- Elmo is alert and active -- with no crying.
