This is Rosco in AZ, and his rescuer writes --

"Hi Eric

My name is Tracee' and I have been privatly rescuing animals for 7 years.  People just dump animals and I would take care of them till I could find good loving homes for them.

My son and his girl were so neglectful of ROSCO- their pitbull mix - that I took him away from them, then the court also gave me their 1 year old son!"

"To make a long story short- I really really need a loving home for Rosco!  Cherie from the Luv Of Paws, also here in AZ, told me she had contacted you about Rosco.  He is a wonderful dog.  I dont know if he is just affection starved or if it is because he is a pitbull that he jumps on me constantly and I havent broken him of that yet.  Rosco is less than a year old.  I can TRY to send some photos later.  Have had problems with that.  So far, he has gotten along with cats and dogs, and everybody.

He only barks when there is a stranger or strange vehicle.  And he whines and howls if he misses his play time with me.  I take him out of his fenced area 2 times a day to play.  I had to make a large area for him outside because now we have very small dogs and he is so playful I am afraid that they will get hurt.  I did however bring him home here  to visit many times from my sons house and he was very good.  Potty trained etc."

"He isn't as hyper as most other breeds I have had or worked with.  Right now my challange is the baby verses Rosco!  The baby, Nathan,  is very challanged and takes a lot of time & money.  He is going to docs and evals - things that should have been done several months ago.

I can't force myself to take him to animal control- a kill shelter because I know they will put him down.  The rescues here are full and Luv of Paws isnt set up yet with kennels.  I truly beleive that if someone gets Rosco soon, that he will be the best pet they've ever had with very little work on their part!"

"Rosco was never abused I beleive BUT was neglected.  He was kept in a 2 room motel where the babys parents would fight over who had to take him out to pee and run etc.  So he rarely ever got taken out and had to do his business in the motel. Then the messes were left there for the baby to lay in unless I went there to clean it up.  He was so affection starved that he would get into the trash that they also refused to take out!  He has never gotteninto my trash here when he is in the house.

He has not had his shots and hasnt been fixed.  The expense on top of all the court costs is just too much for me at this time.  If I knew he could get placed, there is a woman here who will probably get him altered for me and start him on vaccinations."

"Every day I go to bed feeling bad for him.  He is really good with kids and will be better when he calms down.  Right now he is always so excited that he licks the baby to death and takes his breath!

Rosco doesnt have a mean bone in his body and if other dogs from this area got near- they would hurt him cause he thinks everyone wants to play."

WOW --

-- how very sad -- and what a great person Tracee is for helping this boy --

-- do you want to help too? Can you promise this boy smooth sailing for the rest of his years?

He will come neutered, vaccinated, and transported to the East Coast, if necessary --

-- if you're wanting to take the next step, fill out an adoption application above!
